General Information

  
     The XXth National Congress of Acupuncture with international participation will be held between the 28th and the 31st of May in Piatra Neamt , Romania.

    The town of Piatra Neamt is the capital of the County of Neamt, which is situated in the historical region of Moldova, in the area of the Eastern Carpathians. The western part of the county Neamt is protected by the Mount Ceahlau (about 2,000 metres high), the old Dacian Cogaion.
    On the globe , Piatra Neamt is situated at 20 degrees 22min, Eastern longitude and 46 degrees 56min. Northern latitude and it is placed in a basin surrounded by mountains, at the altitude of 310.m. The town enjoys all the advantages of a unique nature, a temperate continental climate, with short, pleasant and cool summers, long autumns, mild winters, with no big frost or snow. It is like a small ‘paradise’, like a summer resort. Having the benefit of such a natural frame, with easy connections to all directions, the territory of this town has always been inhabited.

    The Climate:

   As it is situated in a small depression, the locality is hidden from the cold masses of air and the frost of winter.
   The climate is generally mild, the maximum temperature is 38.6 Celsius degrees and the minimum temperature is -20 Celsius degrees.
   The average temperature in a year is different from one year to another. The average yearly temperature is considered to be 8.4 Celsius degrees.

   Ways of access:

   The roads of access to P. Neamt are DN15 from Bacau and Bicaz, DN15 C from Targu Neamt, passing through Humulesti and Baltatesti and DN15 D from Roman, passing through Girov .
